5. First ever documented cycle race.
The first ever documented cycle race took place way back to the 31st of May 1868 in park de Seint-Cloud in Paris. It was won by Englishman James Moore and he won the race on a wooden bike with solid iron wheels. And he did over 1,200 meter court on a gravel road which went to the park fountain.
